Feasibility study of small hydro power plant on the river Papradnianka in the district of Povážská Bystrica
Barenčík, Ladislav ; Haluza,, Miloslav (referee) ; Šulc, Jan (advisor)
The main purpose of this bachelor's thesis is the design of conceptual solution of a small hydroelectric power plant on the river Papradnianka in the Prúdy area and a feasibility assessment of this project. Hydrological data and a selection of the most appropriate type of power plant are revaluated in the first part of this bachelor's thesis. A selection of appropriate technology and individual parts of small hydroelectric power plant are described in the following part. Economic return of this project is assessed in the last part. According to the results of this bachelor's thesis, this project is technically realizable, but the return of investment is big due to current prices of energy .
Water energy potential in breeding tanks
Schittenhelm, Dominik ; Radil, Lukáš (referee) ; Morávek, Jan (advisor)
The thesis is divided in several parts. The first part is theoretical and its main focus is the description of hydroenergy and the theory regarding water turbines and their potential use in small hydro powerplants. The second part describes micro hydroelectric power plant design in fishery Bělidlo. It begins with calculation of the waterflow rate based on the performed measurements. The thesis further describes the actual design of Banki turbine with generator and gear unit selection. The last part of the work deals with estimating construction costs and production of electricity and also of awaiting investment return time.
Plan of grid connection for small hydroelectric power plant
Miškovský, Ján ; Wasserbauer, Vojtěch (referee) ; Radil, Lukáš (advisor)
The purpose of the thesis is a plan of grid connection for a small hydroelectric power plant in Rastak. The introduction briefly analyses the scheme, MVE, description of the particular constructive parts and specified technical equipment as well. The main goals of the study were choice of suitable transformer, the proper VN substation as well as a plan of overhead power lines. Particular attention was paid to: figuring the short circuit current and mechanical strain, the best choice of electric field VN substation for MVE, the transformer connection in the point VN substation and geometrical measurement of its power line with 35 kV voltage summing up, it can be concluded that above mentioned is crucial to cooling of the transformer in Raštak.
The project of turbines for small water power plant
Dolinský, Filip ; Machů, Tomáš (referee) ; Haluza, Miloslav (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with usage of hydropower potential of river profile by small hydro powerplant, sollution by Archimedes and Swirl turbines is designed. In the first part, current status of hydro powerplants in Slovakia is described and obligations of the Slovak republic to the EU are analyzed. In the second part, basic division and knowledge about Screw and Swirl turbine are sumarized. The third chapter deals with design, calculations and comparison of different kinds of turbines. Most optimal sollution is analyzed, design parameters are elaborated and building cost and return of investment are calculated.
Possibilities of using small hydroelectric power plant in the wastewater treatment plant
Krúpa, Lukáš ; Haluza, Miroslav (referee) ; Pěcha, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the possibilities of using small hydroelectric power plant in wastewater treatment plant. The first part is theoretical and describes the theory of wastewater treatment plants, small hydro power plants, turbines and generators. The seconds part focus is to describe the design of small hydro power plant. It begins with description of location then continues with calculation of Banki turbine and ends with generator selection. The last part deals with an economic evaluation, which includes estimating of the investment costs, the price of saved electricity and determining the estimated return on investment. In conclusion the thesis compares the ways of using the produced electricity.
Micro power plants for the use of residual gradients and flow
Komorová, Magdaléna ; Dráb, Aleš (referee) ; Žoužela, Michal (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to bring information about where hydropower is going in the future in accordance to using residual gradients and flow. Also, bachelor thesis is looking into different types of turbines which can be used for residual gradients and flow, then how government is helping with funding of new and existing hydropower plants. The last part of thesis is analyzing new location for picohydropower plant and bringing three possible designs.
